SUMMARY:Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy
DESCRIPTION:Presented by The Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts and Get Off The Bus Concerts. Sponsored by Conrad Well Drilling LTD. In Support of Strings Across The Sky\, with special guest members of Strings Across The Sky. \n\n\n\nA perfect Mother’s Day Gift! \n\n\n\nHearing Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy speak reverentially about the fiddle\, which has propelled their dazzling careers since childhood while cementing their status as Canada’s reigning couple of Celtic music\, is almost as electrifying as hearing them play it. \n\n\n\nIndeed\, when MacMaster and Leahy married in 2002 — both were already stars in their own right — they could not have predicted their merger would recast what contemporary musical success looks like. Or that they would produce a large family and ensure their mantelpiece was jammed with JUNO and East Coast Music Awards while creating an inventory of achievements spanning the globe. \n\n\n\n“I’m continually amazed by what the fiddle has brought to my life\,” MacMaster offers. “It has carried me through my childhood\, through my teens\, my young adult life\, my married life and now motherhood. And I still love it as much as ever. Same with Donnell. It’s unexpected and awesome.” \n\n\n\nThough MacMaster and Leahy followed different trajectories to this point — she a Cape Breton native who could step-dance before she could walk\, he the oldest brother of acclaimed family group Leahy — both have confidently crested the traditional music peak. \n\n\n\nTickets are: \n\n\n\n\nOrchestra Pit (AA – FF): \n\nAdults $79.00 + HST\n\n\n\nChildren (12 & Under) $69 + HST\n\n\n\n\n\nOrchestra (A – J): \n\nAdults $74.00 + HST\n\n\n\nChildren (12 & Under) $64 + HST\n\n\n\n\n\nMezzanine: \n\nAdults $69.00 + HST\n\n\n\nChildren (12 & Under) $59.00 + HST\n\n\n\n\n\nBalcony: \n\nAdults $59.00 + HST\n\n\n\nChildren (12 & Under) $49.00 + HST\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets go on sale on Thursday March 2nd at 11am to Stockey Members and Get Off The Bus Followers. SUMMARY:Whitehorse
DESCRIPTION:Whitehorse is the prolific partnership of Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet. Uninhibited by expectation\, boldly adventurous and categorically talented\, Whitehorse’s signature sound is always guitar-heavy\, harmony-plentiful and lyrically deft. \n\n\n\nWith an expansive run of records that freely and thrillingly dip in psychedelic country\, pop noir\, squalling blues rock and celestial folk\, Whitehorse have pushed their musical identity into new realms and sounds for over a decade. As attested by five consecutive JUNO Award nominations in many different genre categories\, Whitehorse do a lot of things\, and do them well. \n\n\n\nOn their new record\, Whitehorse venture deeper into classic country music touchstones than ever before\, a move that is both a homecoming and an evolution of their sound. I’m Not Crying\, You’re Crying is an immaculate collection of 70s country-inspired songs that showcase Whitehorse at their absolute best. \n\n\n\nTickets are $39.95 + HST. \n\n\n\nWhitehorse will be joined by opening act NQ Arbuckle! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEveryone sings\, mostly louder than the band. Every show is an uprising\, a groundswell. \n\n\n\nDon’t let the self-deprecation or inebriation imply that NQ Arbuckle isn’t serious about the music. This band has earned multiple Juno nominations\, considerable critical praise (Pitchfork\, Globe and Mail\, Toronto Star etc.)\, and a legion of rabid fans. \n\n\n\nNQ Arbuckle has consistently created impressive\, treasured albums for more than a decade. But NQ Arbuckle has never made a record like this before \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE HERE \n\n\n\nTickets can also be purchased during our business hours by calling our Box Office at 705-746-4466 extension 405 or visiting us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound.

SUMMARY:David Francey
DESCRIPTION:David Francey is a Scottish-born Canadian carpenter-turned-songwriter\, who has become known as “one of Canada’s most revered folk poets and singers” (Toronto Star). Born in Ayrshire\, Scotland to parents who were factory workers\, he moved to Canada when he was twelve. SUMMARY:Big Wreck
DESCRIPTION:With special guests Texas King and with a very special performance by Daniel Greaves of The Watchment. Please note Vilivant is no longer taking part in this tour. \n\n\n\nIn the early weeks of 2020\, the members of Big Wreck were returning home after a heavy few months of touring\, ready to settle into a cyclical period of workshopping and woodshedding new material. Of course\, an emerging global pandemic unwelcomely extended a few months of creative respite into nearly a year-and-a-half of inactivity and uncertainty. But borrowing whatever adage you’d like about lemonade or open windows\, frontman Ian Thornley and his bandmates decided to take full advantage of the downtime. \n\n\n\n“It was a crazy and uncertain time\, but I kind of fell right into my rhythm\,” Thornley recalls. “I’d come into my basement writing room and just lock it all away and start following leads – riffs from soundchecks or old phone recordings. There are sounds we’ve never gone for before that I’ve secretly always wanted to try\, so the attitude was kind of\, ‘If not now\, when?’” \n\n\n\nFollowing that lengthy span of experimentation and gestation\, the band hit the studio with revered producer Eric Ratz (Billy Talent\, Arkells) returning behind the board. The result is a wealth of riches for the Big Wreck faithful and new fans alike; 15 tracks divided into three EPs that capture the essence of every entry in their celebrated back catalogue while pushing into some unexplored sonic territory – and that’s saying a lot considering the resumes of this particular group of players. \n\n\n\nJoining Thornley and longtime bassist Dave McMillan for the sessions is guitarist Chris Caddell\, who entered the fold in 2019 following the passing of founding guitarist Brian Doherty. Another fixture in the line-up is drummer Sekou Lumumba\, who performed with Thornley’s eponymous solo project in the early aughts and a diverse group of other big names since. \n\n\n\n“Everybody’s got their own fingerprints on this\, and it felt as natural as anything\,” Thornley enthuses about the recordings. Reports and reviews of recent shows have called this the best iteration of Big Wreck they’ve heard\, and Thornley admits he’d have a hard time disagreeing; the five tracks comprising Big Wreck: 7.1\, the first installment of the triad\, make a compelling case for it\, too. \n\n\n\nDespite its relatively short runtime\, the collection encapsulates the raw\, anthemic rock of their inaugural LPs – 1997’s In Loving Memory of… and 2001’s The Pleasure and the Greed – and edgy eclecticism of their more recent JUNO-nominated offerings since reforming in 2012\, including 2019’s dynamic …But for the Sun. \n\n\n\n“Bombs Away” is arguably the heaviest we’ve heard Big Wreck to date\, with a thundering palm-muted riff exploding out of an ominous acoustic guitar intro to anchor the musical intensity and lyrical urgency. The beautifully orchestrated “Fields” is upbeat and uplifting\, sure to have longtime fans feeling right at home\, while the absolutely smoking “High on the Hog” gives everyone a chance to flex their chops and serves as an earnest reminder of Thornley’s impressive range and impactful prowess as a vocalist. “It was a lot of fun playing with this rhythm section\,” Thornley notes. “Things ended up going in a direction they weren’t going to go when we first came into the studio\, but as a musician\, I love being thrown curveballs.” \n\n\n\nThe moratorium on live concerts through the pandemic may be the biggest curveball of his career\, considering Big Wreck’s penchant and reputation for impactful performances. SUMMARY:Boreal's Songs for the Snowy Season
DESCRIPTION:Boreal’s ‘Songs for the Snowy Season’ is the perfect antidote to a cold winter’s night. Award-winning solo musical artists Katherine Wheatley\, Tannis Slimmon\, and Angie Nussey come together as Boreal each December to shine their collective light on Canada’s darkest month with their uplifting show\, “Songs for the Snowy Season”. This year’s concert features Boreal’s own wintry songs and some of the trio’s favourite standards. Their lyrics conjure up sights and sounds that bring chills of recognition to the listener: squirrels’ footprints in the snow\, winter’s hush\, mittens\, snowball fights\, blizzards and shovels. But it’s the beautiful vocal arrangements and accompaniment\, the spontaneous stories\, humour\, and the inspired musical moments that make this such a special experience. You will laugh\, cry\, sing and ultimately walk out into the winter’s night with the comfort and joy of knowing we’re all in this frosty and glorious season together. \n\n\n\n\n“With stunningly beautiful voices\, Boreal captures the festive spirit like no other act I’ve ever presented. With exquisitely intricate harmonies and heartwarming stories\, Boreal connects with their audience in a profound way. Our show was a sellout and we immediately booked them for next season! Highly recommended!” \nGeorge Scott (Presenter\, Alliston and Beeton\, ON)\n\n\n\nTickets go on sale on Saturday May 27th to Stockey Members. SUMMARY:The Sheepdogs
DESCRIPTION:Built on the solid\, classic rock foundation of three-part harmonies and dual guitar leads\, Canada’s Juno Award-winning Sheepdogs blend Southern rock\, groove-based psychedelia\, and bluesy barroom swagger into a modern rock & roll revival. Emerging in 2004\, the band found mainstream success in 2010 with the release of their platinum-selling third LP\, Learn & Burn\, and continued to top the Canadian charts with efforts like The Sheepdogs (2012)\, Future Nostalgia (2015)\, Changing Colours (2018)\, and Outta Sight (2022). \n\n\n\nHailing from the Saskatchewan city of Saskatoon\, the band features the talents of Ewan Currie (vocals\, guitar)\, Ryan Gullen (bass)\, Sam Corbett (drums)\, Shamus Currie (keyboard/trombone) and Rick Paquette (guitar). From Canadian roadhouses to global music festivals\, their on-stage and on-road hours are countless\, underscoring their endurance in the music scene. The release of Future Nostalgia and Changing Colours further enriched their discography\, leading up to the 2022 release of the jubilant hook-filled Outta Sight\, solidifying their impact in the rock domain. \n\n\n\nMost recently\, their singles from Outta Sight spent a cumulative 90 weeks with at least 1 song in the top 20 at Canadian Rock radio. Prior\, their hit singles “I Don’t Know” and “Feeling Good” both reached Platinum certification\, with “The Way It Is” achieving Gold sales. Additionally\, the albums Learn & Burn and The Sheepdogs both achieved Platinum status\, and to date the band has been nominated for 11 JUNO awards\, winning four. \n\n\n\nWith opening act Ellen Froese! Ellen Froese is what you’d call a “prolific artist”; committed\, too. For someone who only just passed the threshold of their mid-20s\, she’s amassed a resolutely solid body of work and\, with a variety of projects\, achieved more than some many years her senior. For Each Flower Growing\, Froese’s fourth full-length\, produced in collaboration with the Sheepdogs’ Sam Corbett\, is her most accomplished statement to date\, drawing on her established sound as a folk & country-based singer/songwriter while incorporating a wider frame of reference in the rich production\, supple instrumentation\, and overall sonic soundworld. It’s much harder to pin down than any simple description can convey\, making it all the more worthwhile to check out. \n\n\n\nTickets are: \n\n\n\nOrchestra Pit (Rows AA to FF): $99.95 + HST \n\n\n\nOrchestra (Rows A to J): $89.95 + HST \n\n\n\nMezzanine: $79.95 + HST \n\n\n\nBalcony: $69.95 + HST \n\n\n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE HERE \n\n\n\nTickets can also be purchased during our business hours by calling our Box Office at 705-746-4466 extension 405 or visiting us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound.

SUMMARY:Liquored Up Tour - Aaron Pritchett Feat. Matt Lang & Cory Marks
DESCRIPTION:He’s has been a household name in Canadian Country music for 20 years\, but when Aaron Pritchett hits the stage\, he does so with the energy and intensity of an artist fresh on the scene. Yet despite being known for his dynamic\, even raucous\, live shows\, it’s the classically country gentleman inside of Pritchett that’s made him a fan favourite – and staying force in Canadian country – for more than two decades.  \n\n\n\nWith 13 Top Ten hits under hits under his belt [buckle]\, Pritchett has made a career of seamlessly moving from good ol’ boy anthems like “Hold My Beer” to pop-tinged party pleasers like “Worth a Shot” to heart-string pulling ballads like “Warm Safe Place”. He could have stopped when he had enough to fill a Greatest Hits album – which he did in 2015 – but instead he followed it up with several more including his 2019 #1 single\, “Better When I Do”. Throughout it\, Pritchett has racked up more than 30 Juno\, CCMA\, WCMA and BCCMA nominations including multiple wins for Entertainer of the Year\, Male Vocalist of the Year and a CCMA SOCAN Songwriter of the Year award. \n\n\n\nWith his writing\, Pritchett continues to push the boundaries of the country genre. And while he refuses to be pigeon-holed\, staying grounded in his roots is one thing he insists on.  \n\n\n\nA philanthropist at heart\, in 2022 he launched his Annual Big Wheel Charity Golf Classic. The event has raised more than $150\,000 to date for community-minded charities near his home on Vancouver Island.  \n\n\n\nHis latest single “Liquored Up” (out November 3rd on Big Star Recordings) features Quebec-country sweetheart Matt Lang and outlaw newcomer Cory Marks. It’s a feel-good tune that’ll have you headed for happy hour in an instant\, and it proves yet again why Aaron Pritchett continues to reign in Canadian country music. \n\n\n\nTicket sales schedule: \n\n\n\nArtist Presale – Wednesday October 25th from 10am to 10pm EST \n\n\n\nStockey Members Presale – Thursday October 26th from 10am to 10pm EST \n\n\n\nPublic On-Sale – Friday October 27th at 10am EST \n\n\n\nTo become a Stockey Member\, you can visit us on our Membership page for more information and to purchase online\, give us a call at 705-746-4466 extension 405\, or visit us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound. \n\n\n\nTickets are: \n\n\n\nOrchestra PIT (Rows AA to FF): $82.95 + HST \n\n\n\nOrchestra (Rows A to J): $77.95 + HST \n\n\n\nMezzanine: $67.95 + HST \n\n\n\nBalcony: $62.95 + HST \n\n\n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE HERE \n\n\n\nTickets can also be purchased during our business hours by calling our Box Office at 705-746-4466 extension 405 or visiting us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound.

SUMMARY:Matt Andersen
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE: This event was originally scheduled for February 1st\, 2024. Due to unforeseen circumstances\, the Matt Andersen show with special guest Terra Lightfoot has been rescheduled for April 9\, 2024. All tickets purchased for the February 1\, 2024 show will be valid for April 9\, 2024. Our Box Office is currently contacting all ticket holders. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen Matt Andersen steps on stage\, he brings a lifetime of music to every note he plays. His latest album\, The Big Bottle of Joy\, is all about hard-won celebration; a dozen songs infused with raw blues-rock\, rollicking Americana\, thoughtful folk\, and ecstatic gospel. Andersen’s stage presence is informed by decades of cutting his teeth in dusty clubs\, dim-lit bars\, and grand theatres all over the world\, delivering soulful performances that run the gamut from intimate to wall-shaking. In the studio\, he’s always brought the same attention to detail and commitment to craft as he has to his live show\, and the result – a multi-faceted and poignant body of work – has led him to amass over 28 million streams on Spotify and 26 million views on YouTube. \n\n\n\nIn addition to headlining major festivals\, clubs and theatres throughout North America\, Europe\, and Australia\, he has shared the stage and toured with Marcus King\, Beth Hart\, Marty Stuart\, Greg Allman\, Tedeschi Trucks Band\, Randy Bachman\, Serena Ryder\, Tab Benoit\, and more. \n\n\n\nAndersen nabbed the 2013 and 2016 European Blues Awards for Best Solo/Acoustic Act\, was the first ever Canadian to take home top honours in the solo category at the 2010 International Blues Challenge in Memphis\, won the CIMA Road Gold award in 2015\, and has won multiple Maple Blues Awards. \n\n\n\nTickets are $69.95 + HST. Tickets go on sale on Friday December 8th at 10am. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWITH OPENING ACT: TERRA LIGHTFOOT \n\n\n\nDrop the needle on Healing Power\, the bright\, bold new album from acclaimed Canadian recording artist Terra Lightfoot\, and you won’t be surprised to learn that it was inspired at high altitude. The album’s cover photo sets the scene — a striking European larch at the edge of the timberline\, high above a grassy plateau\, Limestone Alps rising in the distance like a dream just out of reach. Alone in Austria\, just ahead of a string of solo European dates\, and just a third of the way into a sprawling world tour\, Lightfoot found herself on a mountain-top beneath that tree\, singing and playing guitar\, touching grass and drilling into the depths of her emotions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShe was surrounded by flowers yellow and blue\, and though Lightfoot herself has been given her share of flowers — a pair of JUNO nominations\, a long-list Polaris nod\, lead single “Paradise” soundtracking the CBC’s first 2018 Winter Olympics wrap — the strain of nearly three years of steady roadwork was eroding the ground under her feet. The tree ultimately became emblematic of the next chapter of Lightfoot’s artistic journey as well as the unassuming cover star of her sixth album. \n\n\n\n“The story\,” Lightfoot says\, “is that everything comes back around. It was my idea to call the record Healing Power\, and I thought of the most healing place that I knew in the world. That tree taught me about perseverance. It was the only tree living at that altitude. It just kept growing. And I knew I had to be like that too: just to keep growing and changing.” \n\n\n\nHealing Power is further evidence of Lightfoot’s ability to do just that. To describe her decade-plus musical evolution as astonishing is something of an understatement. Along the way\, Lightfoot’s marathon tours have touched down in eight countries across four continents (including support slots for Bruce Cockburn\, Blue Rodeo\, Toad the Wet Sprocket\, The Posies\, The Sheepdogs\, and Willie Nelson). She also conceived\, created\, curated\, produced and co-headlined The Longest Road Show\, an all-female touring revue. In October 2020\, Lightfoot released Consider the Speed\, recorded by Grammy-winning producer Jay Newland at Memphis’ legendary Royal Studios. In early 2022\, Lightfoot launched her own label\, Midnight Choir\, with a cover of Leadbelly’s “Where Did you Sleep Last Night?” and fan-favourite original composition\, “Sleepyhead”\, covered by Sarah Blackwood of Walk Off The Earth. \n\n\n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE HERE \n\n\n\nTickets can also be purchased during our business hours by calling our Box Office at 705-746-4466 extension 405 or visiting us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound.

It is with sadness and love that we must announce the passing of our longtime friend and bandmate Ronnie King. The tour that was intended to be his final bow will now\, instead\, be our tribute to\, and celebration of\, our beautiful friend and partner. We’ve asked bassist Dave Chobot to join us on this final run. It will be an evening filled with our classic hits\, delivered with love….One More Time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n‘They’re on their way\, to the city lights’ … and\, THE predominant Canadian Rock ‘n’ Roll band of the 1970s – The Stampeders – are bringing along all their classic hits: Wild Eyes\, Carry Me\, Oh My Lady\, Devil You\, Monday Morning Choo Choo\, Minstrel Gypsy\, Hit the Road Jack and\, of course\, the quintessential Canadian – and Hall of Fame – song\, Sweet City Woman! A veritable soundtrack to a whole generation that will ‘carry you home’ … maybe not to Birmingham … but back to a time of tie-dyed t-shirts and elevator shoes\, 15¢ coffee and homemade apple pie\, dating and dreaming … By the time The Stampeders get to the first chorus of the first song\, everyone will be singing along. \n\n\n\nNo seventies group represented Canada’s musical identity to the world like The Stampeders. A quick look at Canada’s music scene from 1971 until 1976 confirms The Stampeders were truly the country’s international musical ambassadors\, touring more extensively in Canada and overseas than any other Canadian group during that time.  In 1977 the trio: Rich Dodson (lead guitar)\, Kim Berly (drums) and Ronnie King (bass) parted company but reunited\, fittingly at the Calgary Stampede\, 15 years later in 1992. Since then they’ve been recognized by SOCAN for their Lifetime Achievement\, been inducted into the SOCAN Songwriters Hall of Fame on five occasions and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame for their 1971 seminal hit Sweet City Woman. \n\n\n\nThe enduring musical legacy of The Stampeders  … One More Time … ‘better catch a noon train\, better get there for a rock ‘n’ rolling good time!’ \n\n\n\nTickets go on sale to Stockey Members on Tuesday November 28th at noon and on sale to the public on Friday December 1st at 10am.
