The evening begins with a cocktail hour in our bayside prelude room\, followed by a buffet dinner catered by DiSalvo’s\, and capping off the night is an incredible performance by Shipyard Kitchen Party with their new show Newfoundland Songbook! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the show Newfoundland Songbook: \n\n\n\nThe colourful history of Newfoundland’s fishers and loggers\, sealers and whalers is told with story\, song and incredible visuals in this engaging musical review by Shipyard Kitchen Party\, creators of Tom Thomson’s Wake and 100 Years from Now.  \n\n\n\nFrom the remote outports to the vibrant city of St. John’s\, from the fishing stages to the kitchens and front parlours\, you’ll hear the timeless sea-shanties\, triumphant ballads and the hilarious foot-stomping sing-a-longs that make Canada’s 10th province its most legendary.   \n\n\n\nYou may not be a Newfoundlander when you take your seat\, but you’ll feel like one when you leave! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule: \n\n\n\nCocktail hour begins in our Bayside Prelude Room (located inside The Stockey Centre) at 4:30pm. \n\n\n\nBuffet from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. \n\n\n\nPerformance of Shipyard Kitchen Party’s Newfoundland Songbook begins at 6:45pm in The Stockey Centre’s Performance Hall. \n\n\n\nThe performance’s expected duration is 2 hours and 15 minutes\, including intermission. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuffet-Style Dinner Menu\, catered by DiSalvo’s: \n\n\n\nFresh Bread & Butter \n\n\n\nHouse Chopped Salad – A fresh mix of greens\, vine-ripened tomato\, crisp cucumber\, and sweet bell peppers\, served with your choice of house vinaigrette or creamy ranch dressing. \n\n\n\nPasta Primavera – Penne tossed with a medley of bell peppers\, sweet onions\, spinach\, and broccoli\, finished in a vibrant house-made marinara. \n\n\n\nYour choice between two available entree options: Chicken Parmesan – Lightly breaded and golden-fried chicken breast\, topped with house-made marinara\, finished with melted mozzarella and aged parmesan\, then oven-baked to perfection OR Braised Herb-Crusted Pork Shoulder – Slow-roasted until tender and deeply flavourful\, infused with rosemary\, garlic\, and thyme\, and finished with a rich house-made pan jus. \n\n\n\nAvailable sides: Herb-roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables with butter and fresh herbs. \n\n\n\nDessert: A trio of cakes to select from\, featuring rich chocolate cake\, classic carrot cake with cream cheese\, and smooth New York-style cheesecake. Stockey Centre\, MURDER on the Funny Side Theatre Productions perform “Clues Lead to Murder at the Down Town Abbey” ©2016 by Laurie McRae-Bingley \n\n\n\nThis is a dinner theatre event catered by Di Salvo’s Bella Cucina! \n\n\n\nDoors open for Cocktail hour at 5pm\, with the performance beginning at 6pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome join us for an evening of laughter\, mayhem and MURDER! Written by Laurie McRae-Bingley  and directed by Brett Desrosiers\, this production is a spoof of the popular TV show “Downton Abbey” and incorporates elements of the classic board game “Clue” into the story. \n\n\n\nA murder occurs at “Lord CrawToMe’s” manor and the local constabulary is assigned to the case. If you know the characters from the original show\, you’re sure to recognize them onstage. As this dinner theatre production is set in the fabulous 1920s\, we encourage you to play the part and dress in 1920s style if you wish.
