SUMMARY:The Knitting Pilgrim
DESCRIPTION:Come see The Knitting Pilgrim at The Stockey Centre! \n\n\n\nActor\, writer and knitter Kirk Dunn will be presenting his multidisciplinary one-man show\, The Knitting Pilgrim\, featuring the Stitched Glass tapestries. The show\, which theatre critic Lynn Slotkin called “a stunning piece of theatre… glorious and so moving\,” combines personal storytelling\, image projection and three huge knitted panels\, designed in the style of stained-glass windows\, that look at the commonalities and conflicts of the Abrahamic Faiths: Judaism\, Christianity\, and Islam. It recounts Kirk’s 15-year artistic and spiritual journey handknitting the ambitious project\, and looks at why the faiths struggle to get along today\, the meaning of art\, the hell of grant-writing and the power of love to overcome major obstacles (and minor mishaps). The show premiered at the Aga Khan Museum in 2019\, and has been performed to acclaim almost 100 times in Canada\, Austria\, Germany\, and the United States. \n\n\n\nTickets are $32.95 + HST each. \n\n\n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE HERE \n\n\n\nTickets can also be purchased during our business hours by calling our Box Office at 705-746-4466 extension 405 or visiting us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound.

SUMMARY:Parry Sound High School presents Biz Town
DESCRIPTION:An in-class “adult life” simulation goes very wrong after students throw the rules out and turn to lying\, cheating\, stealing\, and kidnapping to one-up their classmates. The bottom line is that the kid with the most heart points gets to pick the toppings for their pizza party\, and that’s a prize worth playing dirty to win. One detective tries to uncover the criminals and set the town on a better path\, but maybe Biz Town just can’t play nice. Maybe it’s just not built that way. \n\n\n\nPublic performances are Wednesday May 29th at 7pm and Thursday May 30th at 7pm. \n\n\n\nTickets are $12 + HST for adults\, $8 + HST for students\, and a family pass (four tickets) is $35 + HST.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE HERE \n\n\n\nTickets can also be purchased during our business hours by calling our Box Office at 705-746-4466 extension 405 or visiting us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound. \n\n\n\n*Please note that family passes may only be purchased via phone or in-person at our Box Office.
