DESCRIPTION:With Artist Instructor Andrea McIntyre\nNo experience required! Come out and unwind with a glass of wine as local artist Andrea McIntyre leads the class in an acrylic paint on 12”x16” canvas project. We’ll supply you with the materials needed\, including brushes\, paint\, aprons and canvases. Please arrive a few minutes early to secure your seats\, as painting will begin at 6:30 PM. \nOne glass of wine is included in the price of admission. Additional drinks will be available at our cash bar. Outside food and drink are not allowed – NO BYOB. This is a 19+ only event – all participants will be required to provide photo I.D. \nTickets for this event are only $29.95 +HST. There are only 20 seats available\, so act fast! \nAbout the Artist Instructor: \nAfter a long hiatus from high school art\, Andrea has begun to include art in her creative expression.  Like her mother\, Fran Rutke\, Andrea likes to try new things and so bounces from medium to medium.  She has yet to decide which is her favourite.  In all her work\, she attempts to focus on beauty\, be it of colour or any of the Creator’s work.  She hopes to grow to channel art from spirit.  Meanwhile\, she studies through workshops and happy little accidents. \nThe painting for the October 9 class:

DESCRIPTION:Join us on October 20th at the Stockey Centre to learn the art of Nuno Felted Silk Scarves! The workshop will be led by local artisan Heather Darlington. \nEach participant is required to bring a large beach towel and 10-12′ of novelty yarn for decoration if desired. \nCoffee\, tea\, water will be provided. Registrants are welcome to bring snacks. \nRegistration for this workshop is $39.95 + HST. This workshop is limited to 15 registrants\, so get your spot before they’re gone!
