Come out and unwind with a glass of wine as local artist Marc DeGroote leads the class in an acrylic paint on 12”x16” canvas project. We’ll supply you with the materials needed\, including brushes\, paint\, aprons and canvases. Please arrive a few minutes early to secure your seats\, as painting will begin at 6:30 PM. \nOne glass of wine is included in the price of admission. Additional drinks will be available at our cash bar. Outside food and drink are not allowed – NO BYOB. This is a 19+ only event – all participants will be required to provide photo I.D. \nTickets for this event are only $29.95 +HST. There are only 20 seats available\, so act fast! \nAbout the Artist Instructor: \nMarc De Groote was born in Belgium and immigrated to Canada in 1957\, at the age of ten. \nWildlife Artist extraordinaire\, this Artist’s exceptional talent came to life in 2001.  A self-taught Artist who will astonish you with the incredible detail achieved in his creations of mixed media\, Acrylics\, Oils\, Watercolours\, Graphite\, all form part of Marc’s palette.  Seldom will you experience the feeling of such closeness with nature as when you view Marc’s fine art.  Marc has spent many years traveling\, closely observing and enjoying the beauty of nature and all of its pleasures. \nThe painting for the February 12 class:

SUMMARY:Workshop: Felted Art
DESCRIPTION:Come join us on February 16 to learn the basics of needle felting – also known as dry felting.  This felt is created by using a special needle.  Felting needles have barbs on them that snag and tangle the wool to create the felt.  In this course you will learn the techniques to paint a picture with wool. \nAll materials are supplied. The workshop will be led by local artisan Heather Darlington. \nRegistration for this workshop is $45 + HST. This workshop is limited to 15 registrants\, so get your spot before they’re gone! \nPlease bring a photo of something you would like to paint with wool. \n
