With influences like Kate Bush\, Sharon Van Etten\, and Joni Mitchell\, her music is ethereal\, lush and real. Her single\, “Confetti\,” and album\, “Sequoia” (releasing summer 2024)\, are produced by Daniel Ledwell (Jenn Grant\, The Good Lovelies\, Fortunate Ones). Fox’s debut album led her to tour Canada extensively\, sharing stages alongside names like Bahamas\, The Strumbellas and Joel Plaskett. She has showcased at countless music awards and festivals\, and was recently named “Innovator of the Year” at the 2023 PrixNB Awards.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWith an evocative voice that captivates her audience\, Paige Warner creates alt-pop music with soul-inspired vocal licks layered on catchy hooks of poetic lyrics. Though her career started as a busker in her small hometown market\, her resilience led her to perform on stages such as Massey Hall’s TD Music Hall\, Yonge-Dundas Square\, NXNE\, Owen Sound’s Summerfolk\, Harbour Nights\, and open for iconic artists including Ron Sexsmith and Monowhales. Influenced by the great sounds of Tom Petty\, The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton amongst others\, their unique brand of entertainment fuses incredible guitars and a tight rhythm section with audience interaction and witty stage banter that will make you want to dance and sing all night. DESCRIPTION:Ian Thomas is “the complete entertainment experience!” He is a film-composer with 22 feature films to his credit; an author; an actor\, much sought after as a voice-over artist and recognized for roles such as Dougie Franklin on the Red Green Show… and\, of course\, a Juno-award-winning Singer-Songwriter whose songs helped form the bedrock of the Canadian musical landscape\, a contribution recognized by SOCAN when Ian was honoured with a National Achievement Award for Songwriting. \n\n\n\nIan Thomas first garnered major radio airplay in1973 with the top-40 single Painted Ladies\, followed by a string of hits throughout the 70s and 80s\, and on into the 90s with his band The Boomers. Whether performed by him or covered by artists including Santana\, Chicago\, Manfred Mann\, America\, Bon Jovi and Bette Midler\, Ian’s many hits continually achieved heavy rotation on radio across Canada and around the world … recordings such as Come The Sun\, Long Long Way\, Right Before Your Eyes\, Coming Home\, Pilot\, Hold On\, Time Is The Keeper\, Liars\, Wishes\, The Runner\, Levity\, Back To Square One\, Love Ya Too Much\, You Gotta Know\, One Little Word\, Dirty Love\, To Comfort You\, and of course\, Painted Ladies. Over the years James has been crisscrossing Canada\, Europe and Australia in pursuit of seeing the world and entertaining folks along the way. James now has a dozen tours on three continents under his belt and is just getting started. James has released three albums\, the most recent in 2023 entitled “New Friends That Talk Like Old Friends.” In 2019 James won himself a spot at The Mariposa Folk Festival through their showcase auditions. James has since been invited to perform at 4 Mariposa folk events\, 2 Troubadour Festivals and the Muskoka Music Festival in James’ home of central Ontario.

DESCRIPTION:What to bring to the sound bath… \n\n\n\nDress comfortably\, and please arrive a few minutes early to get settled. \n\n\n\nYou’ll be a restful state for the duration of the sound bath so it’s important to make yourself as comfortable as possible. \n\n\n\nThings to bring: \n\n\n\nYoga mat \n\n\n\nPillow (s) and blanket \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nYou might also want to bring: \n\n\n\nCrystals to support you. The vibrations actually cleanse and charge crystals as well. \n\n\n\nIf you have a bolster or if there is anything else that would make you feel more comfortable\, please bring it with you. The sound portion will be approximately 1 hour in addition to the opening and closing of the circle. \n\n\n\nNote – Participants are also able to bring anti gravitational chairs or recliners if preferred\, who are not able to lay on the floor.

The 17-year-old originally found his interest in playing music by singing in his local church growing up. Proud of his small-town roots\, his music is full of classic folk melody and raw country notes. ​He has spent the last few years finding his voice performing at various Parry Sound-Muskoka venues\, making his CCMA debut at the Moonshine Cafe in October 2023. Sully plays his own music as well as a variety of genres including but not limited to Riley Green\, Tom Petty\, Zach Bryan and Chris Stapleton.

DESCRIPTION:What to bring to the sound bath… \n\n\n\nDress comfortably\, and please arrive a few minutes early to get settled. \n\n\n\nYou’ll be a restful state for the duration of the sound bath so it’s important to make yourself as comfortable as possible. \n\n\n\nThings to bring: \n\n\n\nYoga mat \n\n\n\nPillow (s) and blanket \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nYou might also want to bring: \n\n\n\nCrystals to support you. The vibrations actually cleanse and charge crystals as well. \n\n\n\nIf you have a bolster or if there is anything else that would make you feel more comfortable\, please bring it with you. The sound portion will be approximately 1 hour in addition to the opening and closing of the circle. \n\n\n\nNote – Participants are also able to bring anti gravitational chairs or recliners if preferred\, who are not able to lay on the floor. \n\n\n\nPlease note\, by purchasing a space at this event\, you are providing us with permission to share your name and email address with Sound with Lisa. DESCRIPTION:Georgian Bay Forever is proud to present the Premiere of the documentary film All Too Clear: Beneath the Surface of the Great Lakes\, with co-host Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere. \n\n\n\nThe event will be hosted on August 10\, 2024 at The Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts located in Parry Sound\, ON. Doors will open at 6:00 pm for guests to meet their hosts\, Georgian Bay Forever\, Georgian Bay Biosphere\, and documentary producers\, Inspired Planet Productions. Enjoy several informative booths\, a beverage at the cash bar\, and a unique opportunity to see the underwater robots involved in filming. Opening ceremonies and remarks will begin promptly at 7:00 pm. The 90-minute feature film will be followed by a Q & A period where guests will have the opportunity to ask questions of the producers\, Zach Melnick and Yvonne Drebert\, several of the scientists featured in the film\, as well as David Sweetnam\, Executive Director of Georgian Bay Forever\, and Katrina Krievins\, Aquatic Conservation Programs Manager of the Georgian Bay Biosphere and editor of the 2023 State of the Bay ecosystem health magazine. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Film: \n\n\n\nAll Too Clear uses cutting-edge underwater drones to explore how quadrillions of tiny invasive mussels are re-engineering the ecosystem of North America’s Great Lakes at a scale not seen since the glaciers. The mussels are trapping nutrients\, the building blocks of life\, on the lake bottom. Without nutrients\, organisms of all kinds – from the tiniest plankton to the largest fish – are vanishing\, creating vast biological deserts. The scientific community is divided into those racing to find a way to control the invaders\, and those who see an ironic silver-lining in the new world created by the mussels – a once-in-a-lifetime chance to restore an ancient and forgotten native ecosystem. \n\n\n\nThe mussels have also had an extraordinary side effect: they’ve made the lakes clearer than they’ve ever been before. DESCRIPTION:Neil Young Legacy features a trio of top musicians taking a stripped-down approach Neil Young’s most popular songs. The show defines a career ranging from Buffalo Springfield to Harvest Wind and everything in between. Song selections feature hits from Neil’s 1970’s singer/songwriter era\, to CSNY to grungy Crazy Horse jams.  \n\n\n\nFrontman Gerald VanHalteren developed his talent for playing the songs of Neil Young through countless gigs in the successful “Only Young” band. Gerald’s collaboration with bassist Rich Howard in their spacey jam-band “Plan 9” inspired the use of Crazy Horse riffs as a framework for improvisational jams— and this formula was the catalyst for developing the louder\, heavier part of the Neil Young Legacy show.    \n\n\n\nThe band also showcases Neil Young’s mellow acoustic songs with a stripped down approach to their presentation— a conscious artistic choice as fitting tribute to performances like Neil Young’s Live at Massey Hall 1971\, and solo-acoustic works found on Live Rust.  \n\n\n\nTickets are $12.95 + HST each.
