DESCRIPTION:Tickets are $40 each to each class for the Sound Bath only. Tickets are $60 each for Sound Bath and Acupuncture. \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nWhat to bring to the sound bath… \n\n\n\nDress comfortably\, and please arrive a few minutes early to get settled. \n\n\n\nYou’ll be a restful state for the duration of the sound bath so it’s important to make yourself as comfortable as possible. \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nThings to bring: \n\n\n\nYoga mat \n\n\n\nPillow (s) and blanket \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\nYou might also want to bring: \n\n\n\nCrystals to support you. The vibrations actually cleanse and charge crystals as well. If you have a bolster or if there is anything else that would make you feel more comfortable\, please bring it with you. SUMMARY:Wildflowers - America's #1 Tribute to Tom Petty
DESCRIPTION:VaughnCo Entertainment presents \n\n\n\nThe international touring band The Wildflowers are North America’s #1 Tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. \n\n\n\n“Who doesn’t love Tom Petty?” bassist Darryell Stone asked himself one day in 2012 while listening to the radio. There was only one answer he could imagine\, “Nobody.” Testing his hypothesis\, Stone polled friends\, family and fellow musicians how they felt about Petty. The result was always the same. Everyone loves Tom Petty. \n\n\n\nOne of these fellow musicians just happened to be Tom Petty’s doppelganger\, guitarist and lead vocalist Jonathan Guthrie. Guthrie was an avid fan and had always fantasized about being a Heartbreaker. As two seasoned musicians and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers fans\, there was really only one thing for them to do – form a Tom Petty tribute band. \n\n\n\nIt wasn’t hard for Stone and Guthrie to find skilled musicians excited about playing in a Tom Petty tribute band. Drummer Steve Lucas\, formerly of Feverdog and a bandmate of Stone’s local band\, Theatrix\, quickly signed on. Lucas brought with him his M-80’s band mate Glenn Freeman. Freeman\, who boasts of seeing multiple Tom Petty concerts in the 80s\, brought an instrumental cornucopia to the group with keyboards\, harmonica\, guitar and backing vocals. Lead guitarist Curt Granger rounded out the lineup. With 30+ year’s experience in Birmingham’s local music scene\, Granger has played in such circuit bands as Pyrate\, Scream Sophie\, and his own solo project\, as well as creating a line of world-renowned boutique guitar amplifiers. \n\n\n\nThe new Tom Petty tribute band rehearsed with one focus – to recreate the music of Tom Petty with precision\, attention to detail\, and a reverent respect. Parts were studied in great detail\, down to inflections in the very way each word of every lyric was sung. \n\n\n\nPerforming locally in the first year\, it didn’t take long for the band to be noticed. Word spread quickly\, which led to more shows outside the band’s home state\, which led to more word of mouth and exposure. Soon the band was gaining interest from venues across the southeast\, which led to more travel and more Tom Petty fans discovering them. \n\n\n\nJump ahead 100 shows and The Wildflowers have become one of the most popular tribute shows across the southeast US\, and quickly gaining recognition in other regions. \n\n\n\nEquipped with decades of experience and a passion for Tom Petty’s magic way with songs\, The Wildflowers bring music lovers of all stripes what they adore. DESCRIPTION:The only good thing about not shopping in record stores anymore is you won’t have to figure out what genre to look for Danny under. If that were the case\, you could try looking under\, rock\, pop\, folk\, world or even classical. \n\n\n\nHis own self-described musical A.D.D. has kept his music fresh for decades. Maybe it has something to do with being born next to a candy factory\, or his ambidextrous brain\, but his thoughtful lyrics & charming performances have earned a devoted fan base\, multiple nominations for Junos\, The Polaris Prize\, CBC’s “Heart Of Gold”\, and most recently winning the CFMA’s “Producer of the year” and “Oliver Schroder Pushing the Boundaries” Awards. \n\n\n\nBut Danny considers his career highlights to be the unique real life moments like performing for Jane Goodall’s 85th birthday party\, touring with Stuart Mclean and working with charities close to his heart. \n\n\n\nIn 2015\, his adventurous spirit took him to the country of Belize where he tracked down one of his favourite Belizean bands; The Garifuna Collective (a unique Afro-Amerindian cultural group) and convinced them to create an album together. That album (“Black Birds Are Dancing Over Me”) was called “One of the finest musical works of our time” by Billboard’s Larry Leblanc\, landed Danny’s 3rd Juno nomination (World Music Album Of The Year)\, and a sold out summer tour of North America with The Garifuna Collective. \n\n\n\nWhile in Belize\, Danny also founded the DM Ocean Academy Fund that helps raise scholarships for a small non-profit community high school. To date\, Danny & his fans have raised over $125\,000.00 for the school. \n\n\n\nIn 2016\, Danny returned to Canada to record “Matadora\,” his most deeply humanist album to date. This ten-song collection explores the environmentalist\, pacifist\, romanticist\, archivist\, and space enthusiast in Danny. \n\n\n\nThen it was off to the Canadian high Arctic where Danny recorded “Khlebnikov” (possibly the most northern album ever recorded/above 80°) aboard the legendary Soviet-era Russian ice-breaker\, Kapitan Khlebnikov during an 18-day arctic expedition curated by Astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield. Once home\, Danny’s recordings were arranged for brass & strings by film composer Rob Carli. DESCRIPTION:A scientific race through the alphabet — where awesome words inspire awesome science! \n\n\n\nJoin professors Lexi Con and Noel Edge (the Word Nerd and the Science Freak) for a thrilling voyage through the alphabet — where great big chewy sesquipedalian words inspire mind-blowing scientific surprises. \n\n\n\nProfessor Lexi Con has curated a curious collection of her favourite words (one for every letter of the alphabet) with each word providing Professor Noel Edge with an inspirational jumping off point for 26 quirky scientific demonstrations – that squish and squirt\, float and fly\, erupt and explode. \n\n\n\nTogether\, this dad-joke quipping\, prank-pulling pair of polished professors strut their stuff in aperformance that’s equal parts explosive\, messy\, spectacular\, hilarious\, fascinating and gross.And if things weren’t exciting enough\, every show is completely different\, with audiencesdetermining the order in which the letters are revealed and explored. \n\n\n\nPlus\, did we mention\, this is a race? The plucky pair of professors have just 52 minutes to complete their alphabetical\, scientifical countdown. That’s just 2 minutes per experiment!
