SUMMARY:Classic Lightfoot Live
DESCRIPTION:Returning to the the Charles W. Stockey Centre for one night only. \n\n\n\nCLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE celebrates the music of folk-rock legend\, Gordon Lightfoot.  \n\n\n\nTake a trip down memory lane….with CLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE! \n\n\n\nFounded in 2012 by lead vocalist\, John Stinson\, a long time Ontario musician. John has been entertaining audiences around Ontario for over 30 years.  He has been widely praised for his uncanny sonic resemblance to Gord\, and his attention to replicating Gord’s original studio recordings. John was trained and mentored to play Gordon Lightfoot music by the legendary Red Shea. “To me Lightfoot’s music really does reflect what it means to be Canadian. His lyrics tell stories; his stories\, our stories. They reach out and touch audiences in deep emotional ways.”  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlaying 6 and 12 string guitars\, just like Gord\, John is backed by the CLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE band\, comprising a stellar cast of seasoned musicians that deliver an infectiously enthusiastic and historically inspired show. If you are looking to experience all the sentimental and emotional music of Lightfoot’s songs\, look no further than Classic Lightfoot Live. Bob Doidge\, Lightfoot’s record producer\, is the band’s artistic director. Steve Eyers\, Gordon’s nephew is on bass guitar. Eric Kidd\, on lead guitar\, plays reminiscently of Red Shea and Terry Clements. Malcolm Gould is on percussion. Each of them has been influenced by Lightfoot’s music and the passion comes through in every performance. \n\n\n\nDon’t miss this exceptional tribute show\, CLASSIC LIGHTFOOT LIVE! \n\n\n\nTickets are $48.00 + HST each. \n\n\n\nBUY TICKETS ONLINE HERE \n\n\n\nTickets can also be purchased during our business hours by calling our Box Office at 705-746-4466 extension 405 or visiting us at 2 Bay Street\, Parry Sound.

SUMMARY:Bands on the Bay: A Short Walk To Pluto
DESCRIPTION:Domino’s Pizza Parry Sound presents Bands on the Bay: Free Summer Concerts\n\n\n\nA free concert overlooking the bay? This is The Thing To Do on a summer Tuesday evening! Performances are held outside on our bayside deck\, or inside in case of rain from June to August. Domino’s Pizza Parry Sound will be on-site selling pizza\, accompanied by The Stockey Centre’s licensed cash bar. \n\n\n\nAbout The Band: \n\n\n\nA Short Walk to Pluto is what would happen if Alanis Morissette joined Rush! Formed in 2018\, comprising members Emma Armstrong (lead vocals)\, Max Kaiser (lead guitar)\, Danny Moriana (bass guitar\, backing vocals)\, and Jake Biggs (drums and percussion)\, the band has developed a tremendous social media presence through Tik Tok and Instagram\, where they regularly debut original music and covers of well-known classics. It was through that online presence that the band was discovered and recently endorsed by Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show. Though much of their success is owed to their social media engagement\, it is their genre-defying original music and energetic live performances (most notably at Ottawa BluesFest 2022) that have generated a loyal\, consistent\, and far reaching following. The band currently has over 700K followers on social media and 8 original music releases to date. This young and professional-sounding foursome is prepared to deliver a show that concert goers will remember for a lifetime. \n\n\n\nWebsite | Facebook
