Along the way\, she has altered how the game is played and has kicked open doors to allow women to have equality in what was\, traditionally\, a male-dominated field. \n\n\n\nHer record of achievement is unmatched\, but it never came easily. In Rock Star\, Jones opens up about the tensions between teammates and opponents\, how she combined law school and a legal career with curling at the highest level\, the inside story on what many consider the greatest shot in curling history\, how her Olympic dream almost ended on a ski hill in Switzerland\, and the challenges of balancing world-class curling with motherhood. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJones also reveals the personal battles she endured during her career. DESCRIPTION:Come see The Knitting Pilgrim at The Stockey Centre! \n\n\n\nActor\, writer and knitter Kirk Dunn will be presenting his multidisciplinary one-man show\, The Knitting Pilgrim\, featuring the Stitched Glass tapestries. The show\, which theatre critic Lynn Slotkin called “a stunning piece of theatre… glorious and so moving\,” combines personal storytelling\, image projection and three huge knitted panels\, designed in the style of stained-glass windows\, that look at the commonalities and conflicts of the Abrahamic Faiths: Judaism\, Christianity\, and Islam. It recounts Kirk’s 15-year artistic and spiritual journey handknitting the ambitious project\, and looks at why the faiths struggle to get along today\, the meaning of art\, the hell of grant-writing and the power of love to overcome major obstacles (and minor mishaps). But when the lights flicker during the evening toast and Charles collapses—poisoned—pandemonium erupts. Trapped inside the lavish ballroom by a raging storm\, a chaotic cast of family\, influencers\, ex-partners\, forgers\, politicians\, and staff quickly turn on one another. Accusations fly\, secrets unravel\, and multiple characters retell events with competing (and often ridiculous) “flashbacks” as everyone tries to survive the world’s messiest investigation. \n\n\n\nFeaturing sharp comedy\, over-the-top drama\, heartfelt moments\, and a twist ending that reveals the real killer when no one expects it\, Betrayal at Byron Manor is a high-energy original production created collaboratively by the PSHS Production Class. DESCRIPTION:Join us on March 20th for a round-robin table hockey tournament! Each team will choose a team name\, design a logo\, create a team cheer and play in a round-robin style tournament for a chance to take home the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame Cup! A pizza lunch will be provided\, and kids will have the opportunity to go through the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame.  When they are not playing a match\, the kids will have the opportunity to go through the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. Pizza lunch provided.  \n\n\n\nThe suggested age range is 4-14. \n\n\n\nFood\n\n\n\nPizza lunch will be ordered with juice boxes and water available. \n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\nThis event is free! DESCRIPTION:Celebrating 50 years of live performances\, Colin Linden presents the RIDE ON Tour. \n\n\n\n“Roots music and blues do speak to a lot of people right now\,” acknowledges Linden. “Much of the healing and release you get from listening to this music\, the power and form of expression\, has shown itself to be so vital in these times. It feels timeless because it’s such a raw nerve.” \n\n\n\nColin’s tale is the stuff of legend\, the kind told in the Coen brothers’ O Brother Where Art Thou or Inside Llewyn Davis\, both of which featured his guitar playing on the soundtracks. He was the main contributor to the music for the Nashville TV show and subsequent live tours. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, Linden played on over 500 albums and produced over 150\, including his first-ever actual Grammy in 2020 for producing Keb Mo’s Oklahoma\, winner for Best Americana Album.
