DESCRIPTION:While it is our annual tradition to host regional performers on our bayside patio from June to August\, this summer during Phase One and Two of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopening we’ll be bringing the performers to you right in the comfort of your own home… virtually! \nJoin us on Tuesday evenings this summer and we’ll be broadcasting some sweet tunes via Facebook and YouTube. Sevier likes to combine elements of classic rock\, country\, and pop to bring nostalgic sounds to her modern music. With this sound\, Sevier has been compared to vocalists and writers such as Stevie Nicks and Bruce Springsteen. \nHer most recent single “Fire Sky” is a folk tune inspired by the beauty of Northern Ontario and fading love. Previously\, Sevier has released singles “Empty Pockets” (April 2021)\, “As The River Rises” (February 2021)\, “Heads Up” (October 2020) which has reached #3 on the Canadian Indie Country Charts\, “Edge of the Night” (March 2020)\, “Jani” (January 2020)\, “Long Drive” (November 2019)\, and “Ghost of Tom” (August 2019). \nThe integrity of Jessica’s song writing has not gone unnoticed\, as her original music gained her a spot to compete on the TV show The Shot: Remastered. As well\, Sevier was a 2021 CMW (Canadian Music Week) Featured Artist/Performer\, an Indie Week 2021 exhibitor and was chosen as one of the top 12 in the CNE Rising Star Competition 2020. Sevier has spent most of her career touring around Ontario playing notable downtown Toronto venues and music festivals. Most recently Sevier has signed with manager CJ Allen\, as well as a recording deal with Roy Hamilton III’s\, The Singers Company \nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \nWe’ve got so many more great names upcoming this season! Kaleb is releasing his anticipated and truly Canadian folk album\, Coast to Coast\, recorded cross-country over the last 5 years; the first single\, tracked in Ottawa and Montreal\, is called ‘To the Blue’. Coast to Coast will be released on vinyl and CD on Canada Day\, July 1st\, followed by digital and streaming on October 1st\, 2021. \nWith nothing to hide\, Kaleb has released independent music from his home studio for 11 years\, garnering rave reviews from Canadian music veterans and American music publications. On record\, The Sun Harmonic debuted with three solo albums in 2009-10′ before quietly writing and recording an ambitious concept album (created only in the winter season\, written only on the piano). After eight years of creation and downfalls\, he revealed the double album through a sold out crowdfunding campaign; it ranged from folk to jazz to classical\, with a simple title\, ‘Winter’. He followed up this massive project with a simple 7″ record; A Heart So Heavy was released to rave reviews in the spring of 2019 and Kaleb set off on a solo tour to celebrate ten years as The Sun Harmonic. \nWebsite | Facebook | Instagram \nWe’ve got so many more great names upcoming this season! The band’s name was inspired by the brothers’ childhood when they ran a neighbourhood lemonade stand. The two brothers would come home each day celebrating their hard-earned “lemon cash”. To this day they share similar interests in music and continue to write and record music together. Starting out as a rock band\, they had success playing lots of gigs\, receiving radio traction and formed quite a substantial following. Looking to evolve their music\, Cory and Jeff found their sweet spot and transitioned into the country world where they would come to realize this is where their tastes and personalities fit best. \n\n\n\nWebsite: lemoncashmusic.com | Facebook: @lemoncashh | Instagram: @lemoncash \nWe’ve got so many more great names upcoming this season! Although I learned a lot of songs from my parents my father insisted I study music and learn to read. By the age of twelve I had started to teach guitar and music performance lessons. I honed a lot of my skills in the bluegrass music genre playing with the band Big Redd Ford where we were introduced to people like Jerry Douglas and Ricky Skaggs. I also played for a number of years with The Good Brothers. I was a side man for hire for many years as well and played with people like Tommy Hunter\, Gord and Audie Henry\, Larry Mattson\, Bill Johnson and other country bands throughout Ontario. For the past twenty years I had played consistently every Thursday night at local bars\, (presently Colonel Mustard’s in Newmarket)\, where I have been very fortunate to enjoy the company of some of the best musicians in the business. Players like Jimmy Bowskill\, Wendell Ferguson\, Steve Piticco\, Michael Francis\, Jerome Godboo\, Roly Platt\, Carlos Del Junco\, Linsey and Tyler Beckett\, John Showman\, Dan Howlett\, John P. SUMMARY:Postponing: Whiskey Jack: Stompin’ Tom’s Canada Meets Sean Cullen’s Comedy
DESCRIPTION:This event is being postponed\, staff are in the process of contacting all ticket holders as of March 24\, 2021.\n\n“Stompin’ Tom’s Canada Meets Sean Cullen’s Comedy” is a playful\, funny\, very musical and all Canadian show starring one of Stompin’ Tom’s favourite touring bands\, Whiskey Jack.  Sean and the band have presented their onstage antics numerous times over the years and will be on tour again in 2020.\n\nDuncan Fremlin and his show “Whiskey Jack Presents Stories & Songs of Stompin’ Tom” first invited comedian\, author\, actor and singer Sean Cullen to join them at their very first concert in 2014.  As Sean stepped onto the stage that night\, he told the audience that Tom had written songs about potatoes\, tomatoes and tobacco but sadly\, not one about what many consider to be Canada’s national food\, poutine.  Within minutes and with the band providing the soundtrack\, I Love Poutine was created\, on stage\, in front of hundreds of hungry fans.  It brought the house down!\n\nWhiskey Jack’s 25 years on stage and in the studio with Stompin’ Tom form the heart and soul of this show\, now in its 7th year.   Each night\, Duncan and his all star musicians\, including 5 time Canadian National Fiddle Champion\, Randy Morrison and 2 time Juno nominee\, Douglas John Cameron\, captivate the fans by singing all the hits (The Hockey Song\, Bud the Spud and more) and sharing stories of the private\, backstage world of Stompin’ Tom.  And yes\, these are the outrageous tales that made him the legendary iconic hero to the entire country.\n\nJoining this cast of Canadian characters is a long time friend and collaborator with this show\, Cindy Church.

She was drawn to music at the age of five when her parents bought her a wireless microphone and a Tina Turner album. She continues to be influenced by many artists\, recognizing the soul in Etta James\, Patsy Cline’s art of delivering a song\, the poetry of Leonard Cohen\, the warmth of Mary Chapin Carpenter\, and the camaraderie of The Cowboy Junkies\, to mention a few. \nSix years ago Christina began pursuing her dream to sing and perform music full time. Wholly determined\, she launched herself out of her comfort zone on a mission to improve her chops and gain experience. Christina is now well known throughout Central Ontario for her passionate singing and her unique and resonant voice. \nChristina sings Folk and Blues and has a special fondness for traditional Country. She continues to please audiences at small theatres\, house concerts\, markets\, and pubs but her goal is to have the opportunity to play for bigger audiences while seeing more of the world. She and her band hope to one day play at Toronto’s world-famous Massey Hall. Christina recently released a single with Bet Smith and the Currie Brothers titled “Fifteen Shades” and is currently working with her band on a Traditional Country album. \nchristinahutt.com
