SUMMARY:Shaun Majumder "Hardly Dead"
DESCRIPTION:Raised in rural Newfoundland Canada\, Shaun Majumder has been a performer his entire life. After leaving his hometown of Burlington (Pop 350) and moving to Mississauga Ontario at the age of thirteen\, Shaun acted in his first stage play in the 8th Grade (Grade 8 in Canada). Immediately he was hooked. He continued theatre throughout high school\, winning several awards at festivals for his many performances. But according to the adults around him\, there was no future in this acting thing. So\, Shaun followed the guidance of his teachers and did what most did; went to university with the hopes of a career finding him. After one year of partying and taking general arts classes\, Shaun quickly realized his true passion was acting\, so he abandoned his safety net and went for it. \n\n\n\nHe found early success as a Standup Comedian and host\, landing his first gigs with YTV (Canada’s Nickelodeon) as a host/PJ for five years\, along with CBC’s Just For Laughs comedy series. He continued to book small roles in Film and TV and in 2003 he Joined the cast of CBC’s This Hour Has 22 minutes where he spent seventeen seasons. \n\n\n\nFor the past twenty plus years\, Shaun has found success on both sides of the border. A few noteworthy performances include his work as Detective Vik Mahajan in the ABC’s critically acclaimed crime drama\, Detroit 1-8-7. His role as Andrew Palmer on NBC’s The Firm starring alongside Josh Lucas and Juliette Lewis. As Hassan Numair on FOX’s 24. His comedy roles include starring in the Sketch Comedy Series Cedric The Entertainer Presents\, The Farrelly Brothers Unhitched\, ABC’s Married Not Dead\, NBC’s Nevermind Nirvana\, and CBC’s Hatching Matching and Dispatching. He currently stars alongside Harold Parineau\, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Eion Bailey\, in the EPIX Sci Fi/Horror series FROM playing Father Khatri. One detective tries to uncover the criminals and set the town on a better path\, but maybe Biz Town just can’t play nice. The band formed in 2018 from a collection of rock and blues loving musicians who met through the local music scene. Influenced by the great sounds of Tom Petty\, The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton amongst others\, their unique brand of entertainment fuses incredible guitars and a tight rhythm section with audience interaction and witty stage banter that will make you want to dance and sing all night. DESCRIPTION:Ian Thomas is “the complete entertainment experience!” He is a film-composer with 22 feature films to his credit; an author; an actor\, much sought after as a voice-over artist and recognized for roles such as Dougie Franklin on the Red Green Show… and\, of course\, a Juno-award-winning Singer-Songwriter whose songs helped form the bedrock of the Canadian musical landscape\, a contribution recognized by SOCAN when Ian was honoured with a National Achievement Award for Songwriting. \n\n\n\nIan Thomas first garnered major radio airplay in1973 with the top-40 single Painted Ladies\, followed by a string of hits throughout the 70s and 80s\, and on into the 90s with his band The Boomers. Whether performed by him or covered by artists including Santana\, Chicago\, Manfred Mann\, America\, Bon Jovi and Bette Midler\, Ian’s many hits continually achieved heavy rotation on radio across Canada and around the world … recordings such as Come The Sun\, Long Long Way\, Right Before Your Eyes\, Coming Home\, Pilot\, Hold On\, Time Is The Keeper\, Liars\, Wishes\, The Runner\, Levity\, Back To Square One\, Love Ya Too Much\, You Gotta Know\, One Little Word\, Dirty Love\, To Comfort You\, and of course\, Painted Ladies. In the new millennium\, Ian joined fellow singer-songwriters Murray McLauchlan\, Marc Jordan and Cindy Church to form Lunch At Allen’s\, touring coast to coast for the past two decades\, and now with five albums to their credit. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOf his art\, Ian says: “The song remains the most satisfying creative experience for me. Over the years James has been crisscrossing Canada\, Europe and Australia in pursuit of seeing the world and entertaining folks along the way. James now has a dozen tours on three continents under his belt and is just getting started. James has released three albums\, the most recent in 2023 entitled “New Friends That Talk Like Old Friends.” In 2019 James won himself a spot at The Mariposa Folk Festival through their showcase auditions. James has since been invited to perform at 4 Mariposa folk events\, 2 Troubadour Festivals and the Muskoka Music Festival in James’ home of central Ontario.

DESCRIPTION:What to bring to the sound bath… \n\n\n\nDress comfortably\, and please arrive a few minutes early to get settled. \n\n\n\nYou’ll be a restful state for the duration of the sound bath so it’s important to make yourself as comfortable as possible. \n\n\n\nThings to bring: \n\n\n\nYoga mat \n\n\n\nPillow (s) and blanket \n\n\n\nWater \n\n\n\nYou might also want to bring: \n\n\n\nCrystals to support you. The vibrations actually cleanse and charge crystals as well. \n\n\n\nIf you have a bolster or if there is anything else that would make you feel more comfortable\, please bring it with you. The sound portion will be approximately 1 hour in addition to the opening and closing of the circle. \n\n\n\nNote – Participants are also able to bring anti gravitational chairs or recliners if preferred\, who are not able to lay on the floor.
