After unforgettable shows in 2023 and 2024, (Man Machine Poem) the HiP Machine returns in 2026 to the Stockey Centre.
Inspired by the band, the man, the machine, THE HiP MACHINE brings you the music of The Tragically Hip the way it was meant to be heard live.
Darryl Aspin of Hitcher fame made his mark captivating audiences in the Durham Region with his strong vocal ability and high-energy performances. Behind Darryl is a band of talented musicians, including guitarist Mike Rewegen, drummer Seth McNamara, firefighter and bassist Stephen Reid, and on lead guitar, Mike Marinuk – after six years as a founding member of another Ontario Hip tribute – now showcasing his abilities with performances identical to the albums and live recordings.
Drawing on his experience in previous projects, Mike has also helped shape a concert experience that goes beyond the music itself, adding a visual element that deepens the connection to the songs.
For many, The Tragically Hip was the ultimate live band. Their music carried an energy and presence that could only be felt in person. The goal is to bring a little of that feeling back, along with the memories we all share.
