Bands on the Bay: Free Summer Concerts
Held outside on our fully licensed deck or inside in case of rain, performances start at 6:00pm in September. A free concert overlooking the bay is The Thing To Do on a summer evening!
About the performer:
Tragedy Ann is a forward-looking folk duo from Guelph, Ontario. With intimacy and care, Liv Cazzola and Braden Phelan favour a flashlight over a spotlight in songs for community, nature, and hardworking hospital staff. Braiding organic vocal harmonies with accordion, singing saw, guitars, and ukulele, Tragedy Ann’s arrangements are as delicate as they are driving. Their sounds and stories were most recently captured on 2018’s “Matches”, garnering them two ‘Songs from the Heart’ songwriting awards (Folk Music Ontario), international critical acclaim, Canadian folk/roots radio charting, and syndication on CBC Radio and Stingray Music. Performing across Canada, continental Europe and in the USA, Tragedy Ann concerts emanate “..the honesty and enthusiasm of people who can’t help but create and perform.” (Jon Farmer, Georgian Bay Roots).
