The Phantom of the Open is a British biographical comedy-drama film directed by Craig Roberts, about the exploits of Maurice Flitcroft. Flitcroft, a dreamer and unrelenting optimist, manages to gain entry to the 1976 British Open Golf Championship qualification round despite being a complete novice.
The screenplay by Simon Farnaby was based upon the biography The Phantom of the Open: Maurice Flitcroft, The World’s Worst Golfer by Farnaby and Scott Murray.
Starring Mark Rylance, Sally Hawkins, and Rhys Ifans.
Tickets are $12 each. Please note this film is rated PG-13.
