September 30, 2026 @ 5:30 pm 10:00 pm

Please be advised the Rotary Revival Unite for Good Gathering will be held on Canada’s National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, at the prestigious Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts, Parry Sound, Ontario.

The Unite for Good Gathering is a heartfelt reconciliation in-action community event, a living act of remembrance and relationship building. The gathering honours Indigenous People, uplifts Anishinaawbek voices and highlights cultural truths that create a welcoming space shared in a kind way, through an indigenous lens, for deeper understanding, education, healing and intercultural growth and friendship.

In the spirit of unity, we warmly invite you to join us for the Rotary Revival Unite for Good Gathering. Your presence as a genuine friend of Indigenous People from West Parry Sound and throughout Parry Sound –Muskoka truly matters and is greatly valued. The Gathering is reconciliation in-action where genuine friends of the original peoples’ attend and come together to listen, learn and stand respectfully alongside the Anishinaawbea – it strengthens reconciliation and our shared relationships across the region and nationally, fostering a deeper, more meaningful understanding within community, while building a solid foundation for youth and future generations to follow in our unity footprint.

Rotary Revival invites all to step into an evening of transformation at the Unite for Good Gathering, featuring an evening of Indigenous Peoples’ Knowledge Sharing  — where the tradition of the First Peoples’ oral storytelling, song, dance and drumming come alive. The Gathering welcomes friends of the original people, community members, educators, students and all peoples’ of all ages to experience the traditional knowledge, living spirit, and cultural teachings of the Anishinaawbek, shared through an indigenous lens — where stories carry ancestral and unyielding spirit, songs embody and truth, and drumming connects all to the sacred heartbeat of Mother Earth.

The Unite for Good Gathering is rooted in Unity, based on ancestral knowledge, shared in a kind way, the Anishinaawbea way. The Gathering shares living traditions and ancestral knowledge passed down generation to generation, shared by respected Elders, Anishinaabe Knowledge Carriers and distinguished and former First Nation community leaders. The gathering  shares cultural teachings, lived histories and a deeper understanding of the Anishinaawbea and reconciliation through an indigenous lens.

More than an educational experience, the Unite for Good Gathering is the living act of reconciliation in-action, honouring the voice of the Anishinaawbek, uplifting cultural truths, and creating a shared space for respectful and intercultural friendship. Together, we walk forward in unity, in genuine friendship, building a stronger foundation and a more meaningful cultural understanding to carry forward.

Presented by the Rotary Revival Club of Parry Sound, gathering proceeds support youth services of West Parry Sound, Higher Learning Gateways, the Rosseau Lake College Seven Generations Program and First Nations youth singing, dance and drum teaching opportunities.

The Unite For Good Gathering also includes the narration performance from a leading member of the Grammy Award nominated and Canadian Aboriginal Choice Awards winner  —  “Bear Creek Singers”. The Gathering is more than cultural teachings and education — it is reconciliation in-action, presented in a kind way, the Anishinaawbe way, as we walk forward together in unity and friendship with dignity, respect and balance. Honouring the voices of the Original Peoples’ in building a deeper understanding and more meaningful friendship for future generations to follow, including those yet to walk upon Mother Earth.
